The RFID tags is applicable widely,especially for passive RFID tags. The passive RFID tags are smaller than a grain of rice with low manufacturing cost, which is a economical and convenient choice for most industries. Due to the different identifiable frequency, the read range of different RFID tags will be different, which will determine the specific function of different RFID tags. There are three types of RFID tags:
Applications of UHF(Ultra high frequency) RFID tag
The identifiable frequency of UHF RFID tags is between 860MHz and 960Mhz, which extend its read range. The average read range of passive UHF tags is normally between 5m and 6m, as the max read range could be up to 10m. therefore, this type of RFID tags are more applicable for circumstances with high requirement of read range.

Applications of HF(High frequency) RFID tag
The identifiable frequency of HF RFID tags is normally 13.56MHz. The read range of them is normally between 1cm and 1m. the frequently-used NFC(Near filed communication) belongs to them, which is applicable for application without large read range.

Applications of LF(low frequency) RFID tag
The identifiable frequency of LF RFID tags is between 125KHz and 134Khz. The read range of them is only between 1cm and 10cm. the greatest advantage is unaffected by water or metal, which is applicable for animal tracking or access control
